  • The American Love Project engaged schools, organizations and artists in the U.S. and beyond in a version of our Love Lesson, generating a positive grassroots response to the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the United States Capitol.

  • One of 29 Pieces’ primary focuses in 2020 was the design, production and installation of art for public parks located on six Dallas ISD elementary school campuses.

  • Between 2018 and 2019, 29 Pieces partnered with the South Dallas Cultural Center to produce its second large-scale sculpture, Piece 10: Souls Hidden.

  • Too many of our finest teachers are leaving the profession, resulting in a void for young people who need adults in their lives who love and care for them. We wanted to do something about this.

  • In the companion campaign to Dallas Teachers Speak, 29 Pieces led workshops to lift up the voices of Dallas ISD students.

  • Between 2015 and 2016, a team of mosaic artists and Dallas high school students designed and built Piece 24, a monumental sculpture that stands in front of the Oak Cliff Cultural Center on Jefferson Boulevard in Dallas, Texas.

  • In 2015, 29 Pieces launched The Dallas Respect Project to use visual art to empower people to go viral with respect and set a positive chain reaction in motion.

  • Following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, Dallas was labeled a “City of Hate.” Fifty years later, the city came together to express itself as a community where love thrives.

  • The sculptures series, designed by artist and 29 Pieces co-founder Karen Blessen, brings to life the inspired messages and sacred words of spiritual visionaries throughout history.
